Hosenbügler Joseph Rivington Reynolds verliebt sich unsterblich in den Broadwaystar Connie Shaw und läßt keine Vorstellung von ihr aus. Er kann es aber kaum fassen, daß sie ihn eines Tages aus einer Laune heraus heiratet. Die Hochzeitsnacht wird ein Fiasko; um seine heißgeliebte Frau wirklich zu erobern, muß Tolpatsch Joe selber unter abenteuerlichen Umständen auf die Bühne... (Pressetext ARD)
